Proverbs 10:19

When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

I don’t know about you, but my Words of Affirmation (WoA) spouse is very sensitive to critical words. I’ve found that sometimes criticism sometimes sneaks into my communication even when I don’t intend it to. This happens, at times, when I’m actually trying to do the opposite (use affirming words). After I’ve made a compliment, etc. my mouth just keeps on going (my words are many) and with those extra words that come out sneaks something that negates the positive affirmation I’ve just made.

Today, I’m going to strive to be wise according to this proverb and hold my tongue!

Does this happen to you?
